Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi, 2023

25TH EXHIBITION  | 20 OCTOBER – 6 NOVEMBER 2023

Sculpture by the Sea returns to the Bondi to Tamarama Beach coastal walk as the world’s largest free to the public sculpture exhibition in 2023. The spectacular coastal walk will once again be transformed into a 2km long sculpture park over three weeks featuring more than 100 sculptures by artists from Australia and across the world.

In Transition In transition is a work that stems from Battaglia’s exploration of floating sculptural geometric form within an abstract urban landscape. Exploring simplified geometric shape and form, interwoven positive and negative space build in a molecular sequence to create floating landscape formations indicative of abstract urban construction.

Hello Spaceman Hello spaceman is a work that has emerged from Battaglia’s exploration of geometric form and shape. The materiality and reflectivity of the welded mild steel is contrasted against the warmness of the wood, capturing two humanoid forms communing in space.

Assorted and not Assorted and not is playful assemblage of welded steel and reclaimed wood.
