With over 15 years in film and television, Battaglia has gained extensive experience in the digital realm, however, his first love has always been figurative painting and sculpture. Sensory Overload is the fusion of these two creative directions. Within this work, Battaglia is exploring the abstracted form within a digital void. 

“Today many of our sensory reactions are as a result of interaction with technology, new media and the hype that surrounds them. Sensory Overload is a suspended moment in time of a discarded shroud of technology. Each cross section shows remnants of hype from an internal perspective. This is my view of a new synthetic landscape of a coming genetic future”.
